About Me

Sister

Family is such an important part of my life.  My sister Christy was just married last August 2009 and I was thrilled to be her Maid of Honor.  My brother Colin is in the Army National Guard as has just returned from his second tour overseas.  He spent 18 months in Kuwait and just returned from a year long tour in Iraq.

Friend

The picture in the left shows my best friend Alma and my sister-in-law Emilia.  Alma is in the red shirt.  We have been best friends since freshman year in High School, nearly 15 years now.  She is a part of my family and I consider her a sister.  Emilia has also been a friend since she married my brother 5 years ago.  They have two sons, and she has been a rock in the family with Colin being gone for nearly 3 years of their marriage.  The second picture shows my friend Tanya, Christy and I in Las Vegas.  My friend Tanya has been a great friend to Christy and me since I was 4 years old and we were neighbors.  I also consider her part of my family.

International Teacher

I absolutely LOVE being an International Teacher.  The first picture shows my Kindergarten class last year on Freaky Friday dress up day.  My students come from all over the world and they have taught me a lot about myself as a teacher and as a person.  The second picture shows me with a group of students who went on a music tour.  The students in the picture are part of the orchestra, Chinese Dance and choir.  We went to perform at an International School in Vienna, Austria and the American International School in Budapest, Hungary.  This picture was taken in Budapest.

Adventurer

I love trying new things and seeing new places.  My philosophy in life is 'Carpe Diem' - Seize the Day!  Life should be an adventure and I have certainly made mine just that!  I received my scuba diving license in Thailand and went on to get my advanced scuba diving license in Malaysia.  I have travelled around the world and still have so many places I want to go!
